Celebrating Black History Month!
While the Super Bowl obviously had me back into GNX, the delight of my month has been rediscovering my love for that line between heavy and funk with Funkadelic and Fishbone.
JANUARY '25
I began the month in an acoustic, folksy mood - while I remained in that place for the month, by the end I was looking more political, and did a deeper dive into Guthrie's work than I ever have. Timely.

While I had meant to do a Black History Month-themed dive into my Letterboxd watchlist this month, Hundreds of Beavers sent me into a space I'd never been before "silent" comedy. Digging into Chaplin's work illuminated politics I had no idea were there, and were... timely.

David Lynch, 1946 - 2025
I used the moment to catch up on my blind spots in his filmography, as I had really only ever dove into Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive. Thankfully, I have the rest of my life to figure out what they mean.
