While I had meant to do a Black History Month-themed dive into my Letterboxd
watchlist
this month, Hundreds of Beavers sent me into a space I'd never been before "silent" comedy. Digging
into Chaplin's
work illuminated politics I had no idea were there, and were... timely.

I used the moment to catch up on my blind spots
in his
filmography, as I had really only ever dove into Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive. Thankfully, I have
the rest of
my life to figure out what they mean.
